Through its subsidiary, CrossGlobe Transport, Ltd., Logistec provides warehousing, distribution and trucking services at its terminals in the Port of Virginia. CrossGlobe is seeking candidates to fill the position of Account Manager at our Newport News operations. The person will report to the Sales and Marketing Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
-Responsible for finding, developing, and closing new business within a defined geographic territory;
-Develop and implement various techniques of approaching potential clients (cold calls, prospecting, meeting, networking, etc);
-Develop an understanding of the customers requirements : ask the right questions in order to provide the right solution : and take care of the new
customers;
-Communicate and work closely with both the Sales and Marketing and the Logistec sales team to build your pipeline, present proposals and close deals;
-Visit on a regular basis potential and existing clients in your region : this is outside sales which means lots of prospecting;
-Meet and exceed sales quota goals;
-Develop and maintain a strong network of relationships across the industry to identify, cultivate and deliver logistics solutions and growth
opportunities for CrossGlobe;
-Negotiate and conclude various service contracts and ensure an efficient follow up;
-Required to travel within the USA on a regular basis.
QUALIFICATIONS
-Two (2) to four (4) yeas of sales experience with a third:party logistics (3PL) provider or a related transportation industry;
-College diploma / degree in Logistics, Marketing, Sales and / or other business related degree;
-Someone who:
oDemonstrate the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients;
oHas a high level of integrity and work ethic;
oResult oriented, driven by success and the opportunity to make money;
o"Hunter" sales mentality and self:motivated;
oSkillful negotiation, presentation, listening, and closing abilities;
oImpeccable communication skills : strong and confident phone presence;
oVery proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint);
oThe confidence to make decision on the fly and solve problems;
oValid driver's license.
