Ensure that Holiday Retirement and its related business entities financial accounting reports are accurate, relevant and available in a timely manner. MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS Bachelors degree in accounting or finance is required. Minimum four years work experience in financial accounting showing progressively higher levels of responsibility is required. CPA designation or relevant work experience. Possess a thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Ability to analyze financial reports, identify areas of concern and make recommendations to Accounting Manager. Ability to independently develop and complete projects. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet departmental deadlines. Experience leading in a team environment. Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies. Proficiency in computer use and relevant software applications. Excellent verbal/written communication and customer service skills. Must demonstrate the ability to support, practice and deliver the Holiday Touch 100% of the time. Must demonstrate high standards of ethics and personal accountability. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for financial accounting records from general ledger through financial statements in assigned specialty area. Establish and maintain general ledger format for assigned specialty area. Assist Managers in the month end close process. Assist with quarterly and annual financial audits. Assist with documentation and monitoring of internal controls. Maintain all required special project schedules in specialty area (see attached). Lead team of staff accountants. Serve as a trainer, mentor and resource person for Staff Accountants. Work on special projects, as assigned. OTHER JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform all work assigned for the agreed upon monthly wage accepting no additional payment or non-perishable gifts from residents, vendors, facility management or others. Meet the assigned work hour requirements of the job. Regular attendance is required. Ability to keep all business and operations information confidential. Desire and ability to be a team player.
