Basic Qualifications for a level 2 are a Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of related experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Basic Qualifcations for a level 3 are a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. · Strong software engineering skills. · Proficiency in modern Java, working knowledge of standard Java APIs. · Familiarity in the web family of technologies – JavaScript, HTML, CSS. · Experience with Java Web Applications, and the ecosystem. For example, Servlet containers such as Apache Tomcat, Application servers such as JBOSS, build tools like Apache Maven/Ant/Ivy · Strong verbal/written communication along with the ability to work well within a team. · Strong leadership qualities, initiative and desire to independently research and experiment with emerging technologies and libraries within the web development domain · US Citizenship required in order to obtain and maintain the required DoD Secret security clearance. Preferred Qualifications: · BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or related software-related discipline from an accredited college or university. · Active DoD Secret security clearance · Experience with basic Linux web/application server administration · Experience with modern web development tools and best practices – NodeJS, Grunt/Gulp, Bower, CoffeeScript, SASS · Experience with web based Geospatial Mapping Engines such as Cesium, Leaflet, OpenLayers, or Google Maps · Experience with WebSockets · Experience with a Java Web services framework – Jersey, Spring · Experience with Relational, Object oriented Databases and data models Experience with any Web application frameworks or common libraries – Bootstrap, jQuery, backbone.js, AJAX · Experience with Agile Software Development practices · Experience in object oriented analysis and design and full life cycle development with industry software development methodologies
