. The intern will receive exposure to the daily operations of the Systems Management and Monitoring services. Monitoring plays a vital role in ensuring the availability of IT Services to the business. The goal is to use an automated suite of monitoring products to detect problems with the IT infrastructure and applications before they impact the business. Assist the Systems Management team with configuration activities in the main network monitoring tool. Assist the Systems Management team with administrative duties for the central monitoring console including the configuration of views for end users. Assist with the migration from older monitoring platforms in Europe to newer Microsoft based technology. Maintain information in the underlying database holding an inventory of the monitored infrastructure. The internship will run from mid-May to mid-August, pending the intern s school schedule. It will be Monday through Friday, 8-5 p.m. and paid at the rate of $12 an hour.
